The Imaginary Camera

So I was telling Logan about something the girls did yesterday and he said I had to blog this because it was funny.
Well here it goes...

I was sitting on the couch reading a book and the girls are playing "Make Believe"
In this scenario Addison is Santa Clause and Regan is the child who wants something. (Sometimes they play teacher and student, or mommy and daughter, or grandma and mommy you name it)

So Addison has her Camp Rock Doll in hand and Regan says I want to sit on your lap.
Addison says "NO!"
Then fixes her dolls boots and then tells Regan she can sit on her lap.
Addison is using their timeout chair as "Santa's Chair"

So I'm sitting watching them. Regan is kind of all over the place and just kind of whatever goes kind of mood. Addison is not really paying too much attention to Regan but is her usual feisty self.

Then Regan says
R: "Smile, I'm gonna take a picture"
**this is her imaginary camera, mind you**

A: NNNNNNNNOOOOO thats my camera
**throwing a pout on her face and yelling and jumping up to take back her "camera"
**remember its IMAGINARY**

So Addison proceeds to "grab it" somehow- and says
A: There now I have it
and closes her fist around her camera

Regan gets mad and says no, give it back, give it back to me
I'm sitting on the couch thinking there is no way my kids are fighting over this, but I don't interceed because I think its hilarious

So Regan then works on unfolding Addison's fingers to get the camera back
There is lots of yelling and at each other and Addison hiding her face in the wall, while Regan attempts to extract the hidden camera.

Regan GETS IT BACK and then tells Addison to sit down so she can take a picture of her. Addison Sits down. and says Cheese and Regan *clicks* her "IMAGINARY CAMERA"

Seriously, I don't know where they come up with this stuff...my kids are freaking hilarious, even when they are being bratty to each other!

6 years!

    So Logan and I had our 6 year anniversary LAST week (on the 15th) but we decided to celebrate it this weekend.
We went out for a dinner and then to the movies and the best part was it was SANS the kids! I love doing family things, but sometimes just being with your guy.... it can be great!

We went and saw "He Just Not That Into You". It was okay, I thought there would be more funny parts in the movie and it was actually kind of serious. But it was fun. However there was this girl and she kept sniffing her nose and making that nasty noise sometimes guys make when they're hawking a loogie... lol, I know disgusting right?

Well she did this like 50 times in the movie and I am not exaggerating. Logan of course didn't notice until I pointed it out, but after I heard it do it that one time, I couldn't stop hearing it! Needless to say I thoroughly grossed out, I'm sure the girls she was with were too and so was the couple that was below us.

Ok enough with the rant.

On Friday night,
I went and got my haircut and Logan took the girls to  Thai restaurant near the salon. It was perfect, I needed the haircut and he loves Thai and I don't... great night!

So anyways, tomorrow is back to the crazy life.
I was a nice relaxing weekend. I always think once Logan and I are done with school it'll get better. But I'm starting to realize that more than likely it'll just be something else we are busy with. So the weekends seriously cannot come fast enough!

Monsters in the Closet

Last night after we got the girls settled down and into bed, Addison has the following conversation with us and yells out from her room

 A: "Daddy, can you shut the closet door, so the monsters won't get out and scare me."

Logan: "There aren't any monsters in the closet, but I'll shut the door for you."

A: "I there are and they'll come out and get me!"

Logan: "No there's not, Addison"

A: "yes there are... they are hiding, in there!"

Logan just looked back at me, mock rolled his eyes and laughed.

Addison is seriously our little comedian, always making us laugh.

So what have we been up...

Friday, Ronalyn, Meggie, and I went to IHOP for breakfast. Then we had the intention of going to that movie "He's Just That Not That Into You" yeah that didn't happen. We had 45 minutes after b-fast and decided we'd go shopping for a bit. That turned into a couple of hours of shopping.

The girls had a Valentines Day party at school and had a lot of fun and were excited to get to eat their candy once they got home... I limited them to one piece a day ( I know, I'm no fun)

Then on Saturday morning we got together with the family and did breakfast at our house.
It was a nice relaxed morning, Logan got to sleep in a little but (sleeping in for us is like 8- 8:30 haha)
I did Dance Dance.... yes I am such a nerd, but man I burn mad calories!

Then.... the best thing happened... I got my surprise from Logan for our anniversary... I need to get a picture with them on but he spoils me... I still haven't gotten his gift.. I suck, BUT I know what I'm getting him... I just need his help lifting the sucker.

Logan did a cute little riddle... that turned into kind of a scary looking thing.
I'll have to ask him what it is and then post it. But it was a mini- scavenger hunt!

Then we just kind of relaxed. We have been married for 6 years! CRAZY how fast time goes. We are going out this coming weekend, because Valentines Day weekend is always crazy and crowded.

Besides that we have just been busy with the usual... school, school. school
I think its doing Logan and I in this semester. We both have night classes 4 days a week. But its almost over, my last semesters at least will be much better... hopefully.

I'm BAAAAAAAAACK!

THAT IS IT!

I am back... and I WILL be blogging... even if Logan has to drag me to do it... by GOLLY I WILL

and No we are NOT moving... I decided to stay on typepad since for some weird reason not everything would transfer over to blogspot... I know FRUSTRATING!

So what have we been up too...

Logan and I are both in school. He's in 4 classes and I'm in 7... YES I'm a freak (20 credits... ask me at the end of the semester how I'm doing, actually for your safety DON'T)

The girls are both in school. Regan has been sick with her asthma crap again. UGH I feel so bad for my poor girl. She just can't get a break. She is starting to learn the sounds of letters.. Ronalyn I think you can relate to this.  G-G- Go- GOAT.

Addison... well she is feisty as ever. Words take a literal meaning with her. the other day I told her to put her shoes on and she announced to me that they aren't shoes, they are boots, with her own array of attitude. AAAAHHH I will keep saying my mantra I LOVE my children.

We got back from our family cruise during Christmas that was a lot of fun and a stressful experience in the beginning. with the snow storms going on in Seattle we were lucky that we made it to the ship on time in California. Our luggage on the other hand was not so lucky. we got that on Christmas Day at one of our stops during the cruise. Target was our new BFF since the dang store got A LOT of money that day from the Doyle/ Newby/ Dunham households.

Lets see, its hard to think of stuff to say since I'm a cruddy blogger.. but I will do better. One of my New Years Resolutions that I decided to start in February... yes that was ALL PART OF THE PLAN (wink wink)

I'll post pics tomorrow of what we've been up too... but i'm getting slightly tired and have more homework... YES I procrastinated... again!

So I'm gonna do the 25 Random Facts Since I've been tagged.. ALOT for that one!

1. I'm MAJORLY pigeon toed... I consider walking like a duck a RARE talent

2. I hate, HATE, HATE the phone, so if I don't call you...back or ever... don't be offended know that yes I love you.

3. I "secretly" like to read romance novels and supernatural stuff... seriously I have a slight addiction

4. I really dislike the color pink and red... well on me and envious of people who can pull those colors off.

5. Someday I would like to go to physical therapy school... since I've been in one of those offices enough, I figure meeehhh "give back, what I received".... right?

6. I can be very GROUCHY when I'm hungry... ask Logan... he'll attest!

7. I have to take at least 1 bath a day

8. I love contact sports... take out some frustrations let me tell you... competitive me... NOOOO WAY!

9. I eat way too much candy... like its kind of a problem, really, I try to work on it to no avail.

10. I think my butt is too big (I don't care what you say Ron and Dulce... it is)

11. I talk way too much and don't listen enough

12. I am deathly afraid of spiders, to the point where I will go over to my neighbors house if Logan isn't home and ask them to come over and kill the sucker.

13. I miss the hot weather, especially Monterrey... who knew right?

14. I have a passion for anything health and fitness related. Wanna get me really excited and my blood pumping... that's how you do it baby!

15. I am scared of the ocean... well any water, even swimming pools sometimes, those shadows throw me and I just KNOW that jaws is going to burst through the floor and get me (YEAH... my wild imagination always gets the better of me).

16. I'm a bed hog... sometimes I "kick" Logan out of our bed, so I can have it ALL TO MYSELF! Selfish I know... but lesson learned, will only buy king size beds from now on!

17. I really really want a baby boy... and the pregnancy bug is slowly attacking me... if I can hang on just a little longer I can graduate... we'll seeeee

18. I am all about traveling! Some day I want to go to Europe leave the kiddo's home the 1st time and take my man and back pack around all over that AWESOME place!

19. I love Dance Dance Revolution... NERD YES.. proud of it... HECK A YES! I can burn like a gazillion calories in an hour (1200 to be EXACT... WII version uses your hands)

20. Sometimes I am the laziest person. Like I'll skip a meal while sitting on my couch instead of getting up walking the 10 feet to my kitchen to make myself something

21. I am proud to be a mother. I love my girls. Seriously even the days they make me wanna pull my hair out... (ask me that again when its a bad day... I may give you my little bundles of joy on loan)

22. I'm a neat freak... right RONALYN and DULCE... one word... TUPPERWARE!

23. I'm a night owl. I can stay up late and get up early and then CRASH hard core for 1 day after about a month of lighting the candle at both ends.

24. I've had my left knee operated on 3 times... from soccer and guess what I'm still playing... not so smart sometimes, but I love the game and just can't give it up yet, but I don't play as much COED so that should save me for awhile longer

25. I am a lucky woman. There are very few men on this planet that could put up with the array of crap that I do, and I was blessed enough to find one of them... well maybe the ONLY ONE! How lucky am I, I love my hunk of a man LOGGIE BABY!

2 Princesses, a Devil, & a Pimp "Daddy" later...

Today we took the kiddo's to Trick or Treat Town, which is basically a place where kids can go that's safe and indoors (so they can show off their costumes, since Alaska Halloween's aren't exactly warm), and enjoy some entertainment after trick or treating through all the "doors".

(I said this like 5 times probably, so she was annoyed

Ronalyn was trying to get me to go serious... all i can say is... YEAH RIGHT!
Much harder than it looks... BLAH so my failed attempt to be a scary devil!

Logan's just makes me laugh, its great! I saw it in the store and knew if anyone could pull it off it would be him!

Some family L-O-V-E!!!

Then we headed off to ToT for some more "fun"
Let me just say, ToT is one of those places that once you get there, play around for like 15 minutes you are DYING to leave.
It's just a little chaotic for our tastes (mine and Logans... not the kids, they had a blast)

The girls would just about trample anyone that got in their way for the next piece of candy!
But we got free pizza and drinks and if there is anything our family digs... its food... even better FREE food!

So now the kids are sleeping, I'm relaxing and then going to attempt to DIVE into the mountain of housework I have to do and then get some homework done while Logan finishes pay roll at the office and its only 2:30 in the afternoon!

My personality!

So I love taking these little tests... its interesting if they "hit you right on" or are totally off base...
i have to say this one was pretty accurate.. like almost in a scary way!

Basically I'm a "wild thing", I enjoy art in an unconventional way, I'm fiercely loyal and passionate, I enjoy listening to music for the lyrics, and having a good time with friends is about the laughs and the here and now, I enjoy letting my hair down and playing in the sun (AMEN to that)!

What a Weekend...

so this weekend I went with Ron, Dulce, and Bridgett on a "retreat"... ie... getting AWAY!

It was sooo nice, Logan watched the kids and us girls ventured out on Friday and got home Sunday night... what can I say I'm spoiled!

We all brought our scrapping stuff and piled it high up in Dulce's car... those girls had a lot of STUFF... HAH... I just brought my computer to work on some digi stuff.

So we stopped at Tar-jay... (TARGET)... it was my first trip there... I think it was Dulce's too, so were "Alaskan Target Virgins". I found the funniest "Office" note pads (I am hopelessly addicted to that show) and scooped up all of the ones form the $1 aisle and then proceeded to look for a tattoo that said "SUCKER" to put across my forehead.

Then after a couple more stops, buying WAY more food then we would need for the weekend we finally made it to the cabin. I'll post those pictures as soon as I get them... *cough* *cough*... WHERE ARE MY PICTURES!

But one of the highlights of the weekend was the helicopter ride! Never done that before, and I was determined not to be the first person to get sick in the copter! Ronalyn and I went up with Larry (his family owns the cabin that we stayed at).

W-O-W is all I can say! I had a lot of fun, but was a little whoozy after the ride...Ronalyn sat in the back seat and was pretty quiet herself. Dulce warned us that Larry took flying very seriously and that we needed to be on our best behvior (no small task).... but we did good, we were serious and followed all of his instructions!

but that was definitely the most adventurous part of the weekend. I was a little scared and a little sick.. but it was worth it!

Now I'm back home, back to reality and my body is screaming.. "LET's GO BACK"
I think it would be fun to go out there with the family... I missed the hubby, missed the kiddo's, so coming home was nice at the same time!

So Lame!

Bah! Seriously some days... I CURSE "business". There are those days... weeks.. whatever... that the little term of "life" seriously should just be more than a mere FOUR letters long! RIGHT???

I am totally lame, I haven't taken pictures, I haven't scrapped, vacuuming was 4 days in between and the MOUNTAIN of laundry in my living room FINALLY got folded after oh.... like 5 days (that was after it sat in my bedroom for ANOTHER 5 days)... holy cow!

But anyways... what has the family been up too...

well much to Ronalyn's happy happy joy joy! Logan and I are hooked on

So our family had a relaxed weekend and chilled at home... and watched some Heroes!
I got hooked WHEN the second season started... the 1st season... NU HUH!

Then Logan went to Kenai, last night I had a soccer game... and can I just say I am sore and NO LONGER 16...lol. We had one sub, who got hurt so yeah... I definitely got my work out done!

So anyways... new goal for the week... take PICTURES... pay attention to the fun stuff and RELAX

HA we'll see how that goes...

oh and another thing... twilight is coming... we are less than 6 weeks. I need to reread the book before the movie comes out. I know my link doesn't work, so I need to find another one... but UHHHHHH... my jaw about dropped, it was perfect, and I was just so happy... when I watched that... say what you will about Robert P... he is BRILLIANT at Edward... i think that movie is seriously gonna rock my socks!
