Through out my life at least and I'm sure most of ours... we all kind of go through quirks, I guess. Let me explain what happens.... I get OBSESSED with something.
Whenever I decide to do something, try something, like something... whatever, I go full bore, head on into it... and just devour anything and everything having to do with the subject... case in point... yesterday
So yesterday I decided to take the kids to McDonalds (gag), for a treat and because I'm "slightly" lazy, Logan has drill this weekend... A LONG ONE! So we get their happy meals... and they have the Wizard of Oz toys there... I about FLIPPED out of my seat!
I love the Wizard of Oz... always have, I used to watch that movie... at least 2-3 times a week when I was younger. So there are 12 figurines in all. The toy "drive" for these started at the middle of September, and is going on until the 9th of October... so I have of course missed out on like half of these figurines..
Does this detour me... heck no, I called McDonalds and Logan and I stopped by two last night and I called my sister and mom who are both out of state and are now on the hunt for the VERY LAST ONE WE NEED... the "flower munchkin".
Yes you read right... in a matter of 2 hours, I managed to scare up 11 of the 12 figurines (times 2... one set for me and one set for the kids). And I know where to get the 12th one. the McDonalds by Dulces house will be putting #9 out tomorrow! WOO HOO! Collection is complete!
Yes I am also..slightly "loser-ish".. but I don't care they are so freaking CUTE
Another thing I'm all about right now is the Moose's Tooth
I have discovered with the help of Dianne... the "Lunch Special" included are: 1 slice of pizza, 1 salad and 2 bread sticks all for the AWESOME price of $7.50 (now anyone who lives in Anchorage... KNOWS that the Moose's Tooth is the creme de la creme of Pizza)
Digi Scrapping on my "baby" (my Mac).. a site I like to shop on is... Little Dreamer's Designs
Can I just say that this little machine... rocks my world.. second to my hubby and my kids! I love this thing.. its small and can do EVERYTHING... yes I am turning slowly into a "Mac Snob"
Now Pink came out with this new video... and I've always liked her "I don't care what anyone thinks about me, I'm gonna do my thing" attitude. In today's world... that takes courage. This does not mean I agree with everything that she does... but her attitude, I like.
She came out with a new video and after Ron told me about it, I went home and watched it...
She's good... shes gets me pumped.. when I go running, go to play soccer... she is my top 5 to listen too for sure!
Two foods... that I love for their conveinance.. apples and edamame! YUMMY nad easy peasy!
This part should really be dedicated to Costco.. like my second home.. for sure!
AHHH... so good, I can throw it in my bag, the kids lunch, have the edamame (soy beans) for dinner...so NICE... and HEALTHY.. that is the big plus!
I've also become a MAJOR book worm.. but I refuse to read anything that is real.. I'm in school and my brains are fried with all that stuff, so I am majorly into fantasy I just finished the 1st book in this series "House of Night" called "Marked", now good ol' Barnes and Noble is getting some more of my money! When I pick up the other 2 in the series.
I also picked this book up and I know the title is pretty naughty.. but I totally dig the book, I heard good things about it and its a no BS stand point on getting and staying healthy... written by REAL WOMEN.. who have to work to maintain!
I will say this... this book is not for the light of heart. It doesn't prey on our insecurities... it just talks about them. Which for some of us is Rule # 1.. NEVER, EVER bring up the bad stuff about our bodies or our selves.. I mean we see it in the mirror everyday, even when we try to avert our eyes. But I still am enjoying the book!
Check out the info on it at Amazon

2 good things my kids are a shoe in for... surprises and laughter!
Seriously as far as humor goes, I'm sure my kids are right up there with Jeff Foxworthy, Chris Rock, Tina Fey... especially Addison.
At school it was picture day! You all remember that, fussing over outfits and attempting to make our hair perfect only for the pictures to come back as crap. I think in all my years of buying school pictures I may have had a good picture every 4 years. I kept wondering, where did they hire this photographer...BLAH
Well last year Regan had her pics done and they were so-so... she wasn't even centered for crying out loud, in the middle of the photo.
So once again, this year, I'm dishing out money for not 1 but 2... 2 kids I tell you for pictures. But on a side note... my mom rocks since she bought them, because she wanted more pics. Its all about preserving the memories right?
This is the problem, when you have an awesome friend, who is an awesome photographer, no one really compares and so I'm bound to complain and I take no responsibility for this, I blame it on Ronalyn's wicked photography skills (pssst check out her site... she does some good stuff!)
But anyways on the way home I asked my kids how school was, and they said good. And then I asked how their pictures were. Regan announced she lost her sticker... bummer for her. I asked them to show me the smiles that they took for the pictures. This is what we all have to look forward too! Cracked me up, Regan's face changed like 5 times in 10 seconds "perfecting" her "smile"
Addy's smile looks like shes terrified and I think Regan is in a competition with herself to see how many of her teeth she can possibly show at the same time!
Then I asked the kids if they took their naps at school. I got a record prompt answer of "YES!!!"
My curiosity was picked and I was suspicious.
So I did a little investigation.
I asked did you actually close your eyes and sleep or were you just "steady" (the term the use at Garden for laying down). I told them I would call their teachers to really find out...
Regan quietly thinks about it (I think she was weighing her options) and finally says, I was steady.
This is her pretending to sleep in the car!
I ask Addy then and she says...
"My eyes were closed like this..see"
and she squeezes her eyes shut and pokes them with her fingers to prove her point.
I laughed and wondered does she seriously think that I am fooled!?
So needless to say, right now I am blogging and I have two munchkins taking a nap on either side of me, so that my house doesn't turn into a war zone tonight. With Logan being in Kenai and me being outnumbered (you mom's understand), peace is ALWAYS the best option.
My kids are amazing and good for a lot of things. But they are always making me laugh and always surprising me with how smart they are and how much they understand in this big world.
Now while they are sleeping, I'm on a mission to see if I can see Russia from my back yard too! LOL

Relaxing seriously ROCKS! I mean I love, love, love to do things with my family. I really have a good time, but something I crave and need is some "me" time. I am so much healthier emotionally and mentally. I can really tell a difference when I've had the chance to just relax and either be alone or be carefree and "young" again.
So for my birthday (well the day before)I went out with 2 of my favorite girls!
Dulce and Ronalyn. Being with them is strangely relaxing. We are totally loud, and laid back, but have a GREAT time every time we get together. This night didn't disappoint.
We went to my new obsession the MAC counter!
Let your eyes FEAST on perfection.... this place rock,s the make up rocks, the colors rock... everything ROCKS!
So we played there for awhile and found this AWESOME gold shade, that just makes a gal feel exotic no matter what!
So after playing around at the mall for awhile, we went to Red Robin. I have to say as far as friends goes... they learn FAST. They know I am picky and they also know that nothing could make me happier than a big, fat, juicy, hamburger, with fries on the side, plus a Coco- Nutty- Cow milkshake. That is the stuff right there! So I was in bliss, pure heaven, ecstasy..it was great!
I dare ANYONE to call us childish! lol! I think we were about to drive the people around us crazy though. SOME people are LOUD!
Then my girls rocked it even more... they got me giftcards to the The Buckle and Nike! Seriously 2 of my FAVORITE stores ever!
We turned in early that night... home by like 10 ish. But seriously a good early birthday! I'm still waiting on pics from when I went out with my family, hopefully will have those soon!
So now that typepad is not giving me T-R-O-U-B-L-E anymore... maybe I could post more often! GRRR. sometimes, ti works sometimes it doesn't. I could'nt log in at all yesterday or today... frustrating when I have some minutes to spare and my blogging time is SNATCHED away!
Okay enough ranting on my part, I'm blaming it on the computer and not the fact that I am technilogically deficient!

So WOW... life has been just SWAMPED! I finally got caught up on work! YEAH! (passes out high fives) and now I can focus on the "more" important things... like bloggin, playing, chatting, and watching some of our favorite TV Shows
Logan was stuck at work this week a couple of times and so we brought dinner to him! Which was really nice, since the girls and I hadn't seen him too much up till that point!

I'm back! Had a blast. Some of you know that I have a slight obsession with the Stephenie Meyer book Twilight. Seriously... its a love affair. I don't think I've ever read a series that really, really, just made me swoon like a high schooler again. Edward Cullen was my first fictional boyfriend!!!! I got to go to Forks with a bunch of Twilight Moms for a few days (9/11- 9/14). It was a freaking blast! I got to see La Push and 1st beach, Forks and Bella's truck and Port Angelos and eat at the "famous" Bella Italia!

Well once again, I changed my hair up. I have a hard time staying with the same hair-do for very long. I think the long hair, grow out thing was a new record. I chopped it about 2 years ago and then played around with it for another 6 months and then let it grow out for another year and a half... with some "minor" color dabblings and some little cuts.
